The NFTA is also a partner in the redevelopment of Buffalo's Inner Harbor at the foot of Main Street in downtown
Buffalo. The NFTA has extended the riverwalk and created a public plaza near the DL&W Railroad Terminal where Metro Rail cars
are stored. The DL&W Terminal riverwalk opens up to the public a whole new area of the Buffalo River. By creating public access
to the terminal, the NFTA is laying the foundation for economic development of the 80,000 sq. ft. space on the second floor.
