College/University Unlimited Access Program

Unlimited Access:
Erie Community College,
City Campus

Congratulations - the winner of the Apple ipod is Becky Safe

Metro’s College/University Access Program gives ECC city campus students complete access* to the Metro Bus and Rail system, any time, seven days a week.

You may use your Unlimited Access pass as often as you wish, day and night, throughout Erie and Niagara Counties, without paying a fare, zone or transfer charge.

Metro’s unlimited access pass is a safe, efficient alternative to driving.  By using your pass you can:

Q & A

How does the program work?  Using your Unlimited access pass is simple.  To ride a Metro Bus, board and swipe your pass in the farebox.  Metro buses maybe full size or Metro Link vans, depending on the route.  On Metro rail, show your pass and student ID if asked to do so by Metro staff or NFTA police.  If you do not have your pass and student ID (or valid fare) you could be charged with fare evasion, which carries a stiff penalty.

Every Metro bus stop has a red, white and blue sign indicating routes served by that stop.  The sign on the front of the bus shows the route the bus is running, so you can make sure you get on the right one.

All Metro route information is posted on the NFTA website, along with a Trip Planner which can assist you with the best way to get from here to there.  You can also call Metro information at (716) 855-7211, TDD (716) 855-7650, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. through 8 p.m.

May someone else use my pass for transit? No, your pass belongs to you and is only valid for you to use.  The pass is non-transferable.

What happens if I lose my transit pass? If you lose your pass, contact Student Services immediately. When a lost pass has been reported, the school will contact NFTA-Metro and the original pass will be cancelled in the system.  Therefore, if someone were to find the original pass, it would no longer be valid. The cost for a replacement pass is $5, which must be paid for with a check or money order only.

What happens if I am riding Metro Rail and I don’t have my transit pass? If you are riding the Metro Rail system, your pass is subject to visual inspection as proof of fare payment.   If you do not have your pass, you could be charged with fare evasion, which carries a stiff financial penalty.  Be smart and carry the pass with you at all times.

What is a Metro Xtras Card? Area businesses offer discounts to Metro Xtras cardholders. Check out the back of the card to see where you can receive value added incentives and discount offers.

*Not valid for Metro special services, including Darien Lake, Game Day and Metro BPO.
