NFTA To Host Wellness Fair For Employees and Families

Monday March 16, 2009

Buffalo, NY... The Employee Assistance Program of the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority will host its annual Wellness Fair Wednesday, March 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Metropolitan Transportation Center at 181 Ellicott Street.

Now in its 18th year, the Fair provides access to vital information and free health testing to NFTA employees and their families from 40 vendors. This year, glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure and vision testing are all available at no cost. Mini-massages, acupuncture screening and other health consultations will also be available and Buster Bison will be lending his encouragement.

Lawrence M. Meckler, NFTA executive director said, "The Wellness Fair just scratches the surface of the services and support the EAP provides to NFTA employees. It is to the advantage of every employee to take full advantage of the programs the EAP offers, as they can play an important role in maintaining a healthy lifestyle for themselves and their family."
