Buffalo Niagara International Airport Announces
Runway Closure

Buffalo, NY . . .The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority announced today that the main runway at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport will be closed temporally for preventative maintenance Saturday, Aug. 15.

The main runway (5/23) and adjoining taxiways will undergo routine airside pavement maintenance including joint repairs, runway striping and grass management. The runway will be closed from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m., during which time flight patterns will be modified to use the crosswind runway (14/32).

Upon the completion of the work, normal flight patterns will resume.
