Trouble Spots

  • THRU NOVEMBER 29TH:  "CLICK IT OR TICKET" CAMPAIGN IS UNDERWAY BY NYS POLICE.  BUCKLE UP! IT'S THE LAW.

  • OVERNIGHT PARKING RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT FOR VARIOUS MUNICIPALITIES ACROSS WNY --  TIMES VARY BY TOWN, CHECK LOCAL SIGNAGE OR YOUR LOCAL POLICE AGENCY.  THESE RESTRICTIONS WILL BE IN EFFECT UNTIL THE SPRING.

  • Motorists may encounter lengthy delays at times at the International Bridges... to check current bridge conditions, call 1-800-715-6722, then press 2. Conditions are updated as necessary.

Construction Delays


  • DAILY, 7 PM TO 6 AM:  Lane restrictions on the 90 in both directions between the 290 & the 190.  Expect delays.

  •  MAPLE ROAD is down to a single lane in each direction from Flint (U.B. North entrance) to North Forest in Amherst through November 30th for paving.

  • BOWEN ROAD is closed between Bullis & Rice in Elma til further notice. This re-routes the #70 East Aurora Bus. Detours are posted.

  • There is a new traffic pattern inbound on Route 5 as that construction phase has been completed...the posted speed limit is 40 MPH.

  • Outbound Route 5 traffic has been shifted to Fuhrmann Boulevard from the Skyway to Tifft Street. The speed limit is reduced to 40 mph in this area & a new traffic signal has been installed on Fuhrmann at Ohio.

  • Rapids Road in Newstead is closed for bridge repair between Salt and Kelkenburg until further notice.

  • Route 62 is closed from Taylor Hollow Road to Lenox Road in the Town of Collins til further notice. This re-routes Metro's #216 Gowanda Buses.

  • The Route 353 bridge over the Allegany River in Salamanca is closed in both directions from Route 417 to Washington Street until further notice.

  • Lane restrictions are in place on Route 20 (Southwestern Blvd.) between South Park Ave. in Hamburg and Milestrip Road in Orchard Park for road work.
