John Schaefer
Vice President, Capital Delivery and Support OperationsJohn Schaefer is the Vice President of Capital Delivery & Support Operations for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority.
John is responsible for the Facility and Property Group, Engineering, Information Technology, and Health, Safety & Environmental Quality Departments.
John started in the Engineering Department as a Project Manager in 2007. In the years since he has been promoted five times: Manager of Design; Deputy Director of Engineering; Director of Engineering and Property; VP of Engineering and Facilities Management; VP of Capital Delivery & Support Operations. John is a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the states of New York, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Colorado. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from SUNY Fredonia and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University at Buffalo. Outside of the Authority, John volunteers at the Fellowship Wesleyan Church Youth & Children’s Ministries.
