NFTA Reveals Women’s History Month Bus
Uniquely Wrapped Bus Celebrates the Many Accomplishments of Women
BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority was proud to unveil a specially wrapped bus celebrating Women’s History Month Saturday . The agency partnered with the local chapter of the renowned Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum and the Western New York Women’s Foundation.
The official unveiling took place at the Buffalo Niagara International Fire Department , bringing together Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes, NFTA officials, and local organizations to commemorate the achievements of women who have made a lasting impact.
“We are thrilled to honor all women, many of whom have shaped our history and continue to inspire future generations,” said Kim Minkel executive director of the NFTA. “This allows us to highlight their stories in a creative and impactful way while celebrating the strength and resilience of women in our community.”
The eye-catching bus wrap design pays tribute to an array of female figures, with a focus on women who have careers in non-traditional fields, blending vibrant artwork to spark conversation and reflection throughout March. In addition to the bus wrap, NFTA showcased stories of local women leaders, innovators, and trailblazers on social media.
The NFTA invites everyone to join in the celebration and experience the Women’s History Month bus as it travels throughout the region, serving as a powerful reminder of the invaluable contributions women have made to society.
