BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) officially launched its 2026 seasonal Niagara Falls Trolley service with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the return of a convenient and complimentary transportation option for visitors exploring Niagara Falls and the surrounding region.

NFTA officials were joined at the event by Niagara Falls Mayor Rob Restaino, Frank Strangio, and members of the Niagara Falls Hotel Association to commemorate the seasonal launch. The ceremony took place at the Cambria Hotel Niagara Falls, underscoring the strong partnership between NFTA and the local tourism and hospitality community.

NFTA officials were joined at the event by Niagara Falls Mayor Rob Restaino, Frank Strangio, and members of the Niagara Falls Hotel Association to commemorate the seasonal launch.

“Connecting our downtown hospitality venues to regional attractions will enhance the appeal of our downtown for both tourists and local visitors,” said Niagara Falls Mayor Robert Restaino. “The NFTA has been a key partner in our efforts to bring world-class service for our visitors, to deliver a destination experience that encourages individuals and families to not only enjoy the falls but also our restaurants, state parks, and other local attractions that bring economic activity to the region.”

The Metro Trolley Bus Service, supported by the Niagara Falls bed tax, provides guests staying at participating Niagara Falls hotels and motels with free, unlimited access to NFTA’s trolley buses and the full Metro Bus and Rail system throughout Niagara and Erie counties. The service allows visitors to leave their cars behind, reduce parking challenges, and easily access some of the region’s most popular destinations.

“The kickoff of the Niagara Falls Trolley Service is my favorite time of the year,” said Frank Strango, President, Niagara Falls Hotel Association & Hotel Owner.  “The service remains an important asset for our destination, enhancing mobility for visitors while strengthening connections among our hotels, attractions, and local businesses. Our ongoing partnership with the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority reflects a shared commitment to delivering a high-quality experience for everyone visiting Niagara Falls.”

Trolley routes connect riders to key attractions, including Niagara Falls State Park, Prospect Point, the American Falls and Horseshoe Falls viewing areas, the Aquarium of Niagara, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, and Old Falls Street’s .The NFTA is proud to support the Niagara Falls Trolley and to continue enhancing the visitor experience by promoting a more sustainable way to explore the region.
