NFTA Kicks Off “Rhythm on the Rails” Starting December 13th

Mt. St. Mary High School Musicians and Dancers and Members of the Bethesda World Harvest International Church came out to share some festive holiday music at our University and Utica Stations today. These performances were part of the NFTA's Rhythm on the Rails Program to spread musical cheer throughout Metro Rail over the holidays.

BUFFALO, NY – Get ready to tap your toes and hum along as the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) transforms its transit spaces into holiday music stages with “Rhythm on the Rails! “Starting December 13th, the NFTA invites you to join in the merriment as talented high school bands and choirs from across the region perform live at University Station, Utica Station, and even the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

With Santas to saxophones, these student musicians are hitting all the right notes to spread holiday cheer to commuters and travelers alike. Whether you’re waiting for a train, catching a flight, or just in the neighborhood, you’ll experience the joy of the season through spirited performances of classic carols and festive tunes.

“We’re thrilled to bring this unique celebration to life,” said James Morrell Director of Public Transit “It’s a chance for our community to come together and experience the incredible talent of our local students while brightening up the daily commute with a bit of holiday magic.”
