Michael Pal
Director, Public TransitAs the Director of Public Transportation, Michael Pal is responsible for the leadership, management, strategic direction, and operational oversight of NFTA-Metro’s public transit system which includes Metro Bus, Rail and Paratransit services.
Michael has more than 31 years' experience in the Public Transportation industry, most recently as the Chief Transportation Officer at Valley Metro in Phoenix Arizona. Prior to that, he was with Metro Transit in Minneapolis Minnesota, as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer. Pal is a native of New York City where he spent nearly 30 years working for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) of New York. Beginning his tenure at MTA as a Bus Operator, Mike worked up through the ranks in many roles including as a Superintendent, Bus Depot manager and finishing as the Assistant General Manager of Road Operations.
