Brendan R. Mehaffy, Esq.
Vice President, OperationsBrendan Mehaffy is Vice President of Operations and oversees both the Aviation and Public Transit business centers within the NFTA.
Brendan previously was the Director of Development Strategies with Wendel Companies. Prior to Wendel, Brendan was the Executive Director for the Office of Strategic Planning for the City of Buffalo. Brendan has more than 20 years’ experience in executive leadership in diverse strategic areas including mobility, smart street planning, infrastructure, land use, and transit-oriented development. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Binghamton University, a master’s in urban and regional planning from the London School of Economics, and a Juris Doctor from SUNY Buffalo Law School. Mehaffy is a recipient of the Daniel Patrick Moynihan Award from the American Institute of Architects New York State. The Statewide award recognizes public officials who, through their efforts, have furthered the public's awareness of design excellence in public architecture.
